At the Interpol/ ICAO APi and PNR Forum in Lyon

As Nate shares “I’m honored to be speaking at the 2nd Interpol/ICAO Passenger Data Exchange Forum.  API and PNR data are critical to securing borders, and collaborating with the leading experts from Interpol, the United Nations, ICAO, IATA, and the government authorities made for an exciting and informative two days.  I’m happy to represent Securiport and to present our “ThreatSphere” approach to help the authorities in establishing a risk assessment strategy.“

 

Interpol GA India

Securiport team namely Rahel Getachew Director of Marketing and Communications, Juan Manuel Segura, Director of Innovation, and Sofiane Oumsalem Director of Product Management participated at the Interpol 90th General Assembly in India, where the various national law enforcement leaders join to address pressing issues such as terrorism, human trafficking and other crimes. Given its long standing collaboration with Interpol, Securiport was one of the few privileged companies permitted to exhibit its Smart Border solutions at the General Assembly.  Rahel shares that “such gathering allows the private sector to connect directly with different countries law enforcement stakeholders who are at the frontline tackling crime, protecting people, ensuring safety of nations and maintaining security“. Interpol General Assembly is the largest gathering of senior law enforcement officials, which provides an important opportunity for countries to network and share experiences.

ICAO TRIP Symposium Canada

Securiport team namely Chief Information Officer Marcelo Motta and Director of Marketing and Communications Rahel Getachew traveled to Montreal Canada for the ICAO TRIP 2022 Symposium. Securiport has participated in the past at the ICAO TRIP though this year marks the first since the global epidemic where over 100 country representatives from the aviation industry and government gathered to exchange information and share insights.  ICAO TRIP “aims to establish the goal and objectives of traveler identification management, to lead and reinforce a global approach, and to provide direction for action by ICAO, states” and other stakeholders in identification management.

 

 

 

 

 

 

IBMATA – ASIA Singapore

Securiport committed in 2020 to be a Delegate Bag Sponsor though given the global Covid epidemic, the conference was postponed to September 2022. As part of the sponsorship which provided ample of brand visibility, we also had the opportunity to be one of the speakers and Anibal Cheble, Securiport Managing Director Indonesia present about Securiport coined term and methodology “ThreatSphere”. Anibal shares that “the IBMATA Asia Summit was a great event where public and private sector were able to get together to discuss the current border management landscape, needs and visions. Besides the networking aspect, a very interesting workshop was held which not only educated and updated attendants on the current challenges faced by nations and globally, but also served as a ‘think tank’ to come up with new ideas, technologies and their application to be better equipped to tackle today’s border management crises, with a social and humane view.” IBMATA organizes conferences to bring experts and leaders in the industry to share about the safe and secure movement of people and goods across international borders.

 

 

 

Future Travel Experience: Las Vegas

The Securiport team namely Chief Technology Officer Nate Carpenter, Director of Marketing and Communications Rahel Getachew, and Business Analyst in Blockchain Felipe T. Segura attended the Global Future Travel Experience.

As stated by Felipe “Learning from industry leaders about the intersection of blockchain, sustainability, and digital twin technologies made me personally feel excited about the future. Furthermore, I was filled with gratitude to know that Securiport will play a pivotal role in implementing many of these emerging technologies into the travel industry.”

Future Travel Experience is dedicated to working with airports, airlines and industry stakeholders to enhance end-to-end passenger experience and business efficiency. FTE supports innovative efforts in the aviation and travel industry.

 

 

 

 

 

World Border Security Congress

From May 19-21, The World Border Security Congress held its annual congress to discuss about pressing issues around border security. This year, Securiport was one of the Sponsors of the event as highlighted throughout the conference and was attended by Juan Manuel Segura Director of Innovation and Rahel Getachew Director of Marketing and Communications.

Securiport Director of Innovation Juan Manuel Segura also presented on “How Latest Biometric Innovations Address 21st Century Transnational Border Problems?“.

“This event is important as it brings together border management and security officials, experts and businesses to connect and engage” said the Director of Marketing and Communications Rahel Getachew.

 

 

IATA Digital Innovation Day

 

As Strategic Partners of IATA, Securiport team namely Director of Marketing and Communications, Rahel Getachew and Director of Product Management, Sofiane Oumsalem attended the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Innovation Day and IT Leaders Community meeting. Sofiane presented on behalf of Securiport on “Advanced Analytics” and as stated by Sofiane “we enable our customers to leverage analytics to maintain border security without negatively impacting the travelers’ experience.”

Rahel mentioned that “such program allows stakeholders in the aviation industry to share knowledge, discuss further about implementable solutions, and network.“
