It was a year of engagement for Securiport as the year ended with the Chief Technology Officer, Nate Carpenter, presented at the second Joint Interpol/ ICAO on Passenger Data Exchange Forum held in France. The Forum was a timely follow up from the Interpol GA where Securiport was an exhibitor of its sophisticated border security and civil aviation solutions. The Interpol GA, an event that is the largest gathering of senior law enforcement officials was held in Delhi India and was attended by the Director of Innovation, Juan Manuel Segura, Director of Marketing and Communications Rahel Getachew, and Director of Product Management Sofiane Oumsalem. Interpol 90th General Assembly in India brought together the national law enforcement leaders from around the world to address pressing issues such as terrorism, human trafficking and other crimes. Rahel shares that “such gathering allows the private sector to connect directly with different countries law enforcement stakeholders who are at the frontline tackling crime, protecting people, ensuring safety of nations and maintaining security”.
Securiport team exhibited at the ICAO TRIP 2022 in Montreal Canada, the first in-person event since the COVID pandemic where over 100 country representative from the aviation industry and government gathered to exchange information and share insights. IBMATA organizes conferences to bring experts and leaders in the industry to share about the safe and secure movement of people and goods across international borders. Anibal shares that “the IBMATA Asia Summit was a great event where public and private sector were able to get together to discuss the current border management landscape, needs and visions. As Strategic Partners of IATA, Securiport team namely Director of Marketing and Communications, Rahel Getachew and Director of Product Management, Sofiane Oumsalem attended the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Innovation Day and IT Leaders Community meeting. Sofiane presented on behalf of Securiport on “Advanced Analytics” and as stated by Sofiane “we enable our customers to leverage analytics to maintain border security without negatively impacting the travelers’ experience.”
The World Border Security Congress held its annual congress in Portugal where Securiport was one of the Sponsors. Juan Manuel Segura presented “How Latest Biometric Innovations Address 21st Century Transnational Border Problems?”. “This event is important as it brings together border management and security officials, experts and businesses to connect and engage” said the Director of Marketing and Communications Rahel Getachew.
