Securiport Offers Watch-List Management Solutions to Keep Countries Such as Honduras Secure

With border management and security continuously challenging governments across the globe, solutions are needed to combat criminal activity in airports worldwide, especially here in Honduras. Securiport, a global leader in intelligent immigration controls and civil aviation security solutions, is committed to the Science of Safer Nations by empowering governments and immigration officials with advanced strategies to develop safer and more secure cities and nations. By improving border and civil aviation security, Securiport hopes to enhance these nations’ security capabilities and ultimately increase positive public perception, further increasing their tourism rates and yearly visitors.

Securiport hopes to increase international passenger safety as well as improve immigration and civil aviation security by implementing their Watch-List Management and Intelligent Information Management and Profiling. Utilizing advanced biometric identification systems, Securiport’s Civil Aviation and Immigration Security System provides a tool to create and maintain wanted-persons records, which include both demographic and biometric features. Their Watch-List Management solution provides real-time identification checks on every passenger and alerts immigration officials of possible watch-list hits by issuing a veiled alarm. Further strengthening the effectiveness of their security capabilities, the Intelligent Information Management and Profiling System cross-references passenger information across international immigration databases, such as INTERPOL’s I-24/7. By providing invaluable information, governments and nations wishing to enhance border security can prevent criminals from illegally entering or leaving their country’s borders.

Countries, such as Honduras, could benefit greatly from implementing one of Securiport’s innovative border management solutions. By leveraging these systems, government officials and immigration officers will be able to equip themselves with the actionable data and necessary information needed to keep all ports of entry secure, ultimately leading to safer and more secure travels for passengers across the world.

Securiport and Inmarsat Partner to Deliver New Border Security Service

Leading technology companies join forces to help governments improve border management, aviation security and disease control

September 10, 2015 – Securiport LLC, the global leader in intelligent information and civil aviation security solutions, and Inmarsat (LSE:ISAT.L), the leading provider of global mobile satellite communications services, today announced a new partnership to develop new solutions for civil aviation security, immigration control and border management, which will be made available to government customers around the world.

Border management and security is an increasing challenge for governments in an era of frequent international travel and migration. To address issues of security and disease control, Securiport will combine its proprietary Integrated Immigration Control System (IICS) and Intelligent Information Management System (IIMS), equipped with ground sensor technology, with Inmarsat’s highly robust and reliable, globally available satellite constellations. The new services would be offered in conjunction with the Inmarsat-4 network, used by government and commercial organisations across the world for mission-critical applications, as well as the company’s latest constellation, Global Xpress, which offers true, high-speed broadband connectivity on land, sea and in the air.

For governments, the service will provide access to real-time data analytics and risk management tools virtually anywhere within their territories, while simultaneously providing a comprehensive detection solution for the management of land borders. Inmarsat’s world-leading mobile satellite communications network will enable remote border management operations to be linked in real-time to a country’s national IICS/IIMS, significantly enhancing security and immigration efficiency at the same time.

“We are honoured to join forces with Inmarsat through this strategic collaboration,” said Dr. Attila Freska, Securiport’s Chief Operating Officer. “Through the establishment of this relationship, Inmarsat and Securiport will be uniquely positioned to provide enhanced border security solutions to our government clients and heightened safety for travellers.”

Inmarsat’s President of Global Government, Andy Start, said: “The international government sector is becoming increasingly reliant on new interoperable technologies to aid in their border protection operations. The Inmarsat Global Government team actively sources market-leading technology providers such as Securiport, to provide integrated and targeted solutions for the specific requirements of the government sector. We are very excited about the relationship with Securiport and the increased capabilities it will bring to our government clients in securing their borders and assets.”

Securiport to Present Keynote Speaker Dr. Enrique Segura for Border Security at IATA’s AVSEC World Conference

October 26th to 28th 2015 – Convention Centre Dublin, Ireland

September 1, 2015 – Washington, D.C. – More than just a track sponsor, Securiport will play an active role in the 24th Annual AVSEC World Conference by contributing to the Border Security discussion panel. During Day 2 of the conference, Securiport CEO. Dr. Enrique Segura will be sharing views on how States can ensure the security of their territory as threats constantly emerge from terror groups and border crossings. Other discussions will include Emerging Threats, Foreign Fighters and Armed Conflicts.

This year’s AVSEC World theme is “Risk Management: Collaborate. Coordinate. Communicate.” According to IATA’s CEO and Director General, Tony Tyler, “Aviation risk management now faces greater challenges than in any previous era. Cyber security, conflict zones, drones, pilot health, and foreign fighters are just a few of the issues.” And in order to adequately respond to these emerging threats, Tyler suggests that “traditional risk management approaches need to be supplemented by a new mindset of cooperation and collaboration.”

The conference organizers, WorldTEK, IATA, ACI (Airports Council International), and ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) recognized Securiport for their support and involvement. WorldTEK, a full service world-class event and travel management company has over 40+ years of experience in providing event management and travel services. Airports Council International is the only global trade representative of the world’s airports. ACI represents airports interests with Governments and international organizations such as ICAO, develops standards, policies and recommended practices for airports, and provides information and training opportunities to raise standards around the world. ICAO works to develop international Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) which States reference when developing their legally-enforceable national civil aviation regulations.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world’s airlines, representing some 260 airlines, or 83% of total air traffic. IATA supports many areas of aviation activity and helps formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues. In addition to Track Sponsor and contributor for AVSEC World, Securiport is also an IATA Strategic Partner. IATA’s Strategic Partnership Program was founded in 1990, and includes a community of more than 350 partners worldwide. The Strategic Partnership aims to provide member airlines and aviation solution and service providers a platform to build and strengthen relationships with key industry stakeholders, as well as to collaborate on mutual concerns and emerging issues and to exchange ideas through various IATA work groups.
