Dr. Enrique Segura
Dr. Enrique Segura has more than 30 years of experience managing large international companies providing services to governments. Previously, he served as President of Inspectorate Trade Services, company specialized in custom price verification, President and CEO SWIPCO USA, providing procurement services to governments, CEO of ICS Inspection and Control Services Ltd., a company established to provide governments with services designed to increase their customs revenues, and President and CEO of Pricesaroundtheworld.com, an Internet company providing comparative price information through its website. He has worked as an economist for the Inter-American Development Bank and as a financial officer for industrial sector projects for the World Bank. Dr. Segura is a member of the Board of Directors of the Trust for the Americas of the Organization of American States, where he also served as President from 2000-2004. Since 1996, he has been the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Uganda in Argentina. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and an MBA from Autónoma University, Madrid, Spain, and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School.
Erwin Flores
Mr. Flores has more than 35 years of professional experience, including 25 years in the management of government projects. Recently he served as Chief Operating Officer of Securiport and, before that, Chief Operating Officer of Alex Stewart International, where he directed and supervised government contracts for the auditing of minerals and precious metals. He has also been executive vice president of SWIPCO USA, an international procurement company and executive vice president of ICS Inspection and Control Services Ltd., a company established to provide governments with services designed to increase their customs revenues. Prior to that, Mr. Flores was responsible for the development of spacecraft operations systems for NASA and INTELSAT. He holds a degree in Physics from American University
in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Attila Freska
Dr. Attila Freska has over 30 years of experience managing and growing global businesses. Prior to joining Securiport, he held senior management positions in Europe, Asia, and the United States with companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Deloitte Consulting, Owens-Illinois, and American Capital. Additionally, he has started a number of entrepreneurial ventures and has supported numerous non-profit endeavors. Dr. Freska holds a Ph.D. in International Business from Corvinus University in Budapest, Hungary, an MBA from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, a Bachelor’s degree from the California State University, and is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Roberto Leandro Olie
Promoted to Chief Operating Officer in February 2018, Mr. Olie previously served as Securiport’s Engineering Manager supporting global operations. Mr. Olie is a highly skilled professional with more than 12 years of experience in developing, leading, and managing technology projects and solutions for government clients. He is responsible for project management tasks, including conception, budgeting, planning and implementation for new and existing operations. Mr. Olie has firsthand experience with overseas operations and is responsible for the implementation of operational KPIs used to measure the quality of service and to identify critical events. He has also been instrumental in the development and implementation of various Securiport overseas operations, supervising a team of 40 technicians and engineers. Mr. Olie is a graduate of National Technological University (UTNFRC) in Cordoba, Argentina, where he obtained a degree in Information Systems Engineering. He also holds multiple technical certifications, speaks three languages fluently, and has a publication with the U.S. Patent office.
Federico Sanchez
A member of the Securiport team since 2009, Mr. Sanchez brings his broad knowledge of finance and his expertise in the areas of financial planning, reporting, taxation, restructuring, and stability services. His career includes management and key project roles in the telecommunications, technology, and industrial sectors for leading multinational firms such as British Telecom, the Knorr-Bremse Group, and the TeliaSonera Group. He has worked extensively overseas in Europe, Africa, and South America, and previously served as a Regional Director for Securiport in West Africa. Mr. Sanchez earned his MBA from the IESE Business School at the University of Navarra, Spain, and holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Analysis from Universidad Carlos III, Madrid, Spain, and a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance from Universidad Catolica de Cuyo in Argentina, where he earned the title of Public Accountant.
Denise Fancio
Since Securiport’s inception, Ms. Fancio has been responsible for the company budget planning and execution. She is also Securiport’s Corporate Secretary, performing board administrative functions. Formerly with Ciba-Geigy (now Novartis), in Sao Paulo, Brazil, she was responsible for preparing financial/economic analyses of prospective commercial and industrial clients. Ms. Fancio has also worked as a price analyst for ICS Inspection and Control Services Ltd. She holds a degree in Economics from the University of Sao Luis, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and studied Business Accounting at the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Sao Paulo. She completed the Business Environment Session of the Harvard Business School OPM Program.
Marcelo Motta
Mr. Marcelo Motta as Chief Information Officer provides leadership for the product development division responsible for the conceptualization, design, development, and implementation of the company’s information systems, including identity management, automated border control, advanced passenger information, visa management, mobile ID, information intelligence and enterprise systems. Mr. Motta has been leading the Technology division of the company since its foundation and played an instrumental role in the creation of the company’s core tech programs. Mr. Motta has been a principal advisor for the company’s technology roadmap, system products, intellectual property, and strategic partnerships. Mr. Motta held executive positions within the information technology and service sectors for more than 16 years and has extensive experience working with government clients and managing nationwide systems. Prior to working for Securiport, Mr. Motta was a Systems Architect for several technology companies, and has provided technical solutions to T-Mobile (formerly Sprint Communications) and the Inter-American Development Bank. Mr. Motta studied Engineering at UTN FRBA.
Nate Carpenter
Mr. Nate Carpenter as Chief Technology Officer brings more than two decades of experience in systems design and development to Securiport. Mr. Carpenter defines Securiport’s technical vision and executes the company’s technology roadmap, partnerships, and R&D initiatives. Mr. Carpenter held multiple roles over his career with both boutique and Fortune 500 companies, successfully hiring and leading teams, delivering products, and architecting and developing complex systems for government and commercial customers. With a focus on enterprise architecture and software design, Mr. Carpenter has expertise in multiple programming languages and technology stacks and was the founder of the Annapolis Junction Agile User’s Group. Mr. Carpenter is a sought-out speaker on various multimedia channels including CNBC Power Lunch, South Africa Radio, ShieldAfrica, the Frontex Workshop on Innovative Border Management Technologies, JavaOne, and the Borland Developer’s Conference. Mr. Carpenter has been awarded multiple patents and holds degrees in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech in addition to Software Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
Judith Michalski
Ms. Michalski oversees Securiport’s compliance policy, ensuring that the company adheres to US regulatory requirements and internal policies. She is responsible for identifying and evaluating compliance risks within the company and implementing controls to mitigate those risks. Ms. Michalski has been with the company since its formation, previously serving as the Director of Business Development. She has more than 20 years of experience and has worked for both private companies and non-profit associations. Much of her early experience was in the area of writing and communications. She holds graduate degrees from Northwestern University and The Catholic University of America.
Kenneth Quinn
Mr. Quinn has served as General Counsel & Secretary of the Flight Safety Foundation for the past 20 years. He is a Principal at International Aviation Law PLLC. He has more than 30 years as a top-ranked aviation lawyer providing services to international airlines, airports, aerospace companies, security companies, online travel agents, and private equity firms. Among other matters, he represented security screening companies after 9/11, and served as Chair of the US Department of Transportation (DOT) Task Force on Aviation Security and Intelligence after Pan Am 103. Mr. Quinn led the Aviation, Aerospace & Transportation Practice at the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop (1993 – 2017), and served as Global Chair, Aviation, at the law firm of Baker McKenzie (2017 – 2020). Mr. Quinn is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and serves as counsel to its DC Branch and on its Members Services Board. Additionally, Mr. Quinn served as Chief Counsel for the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) (1991-1993) and as the Counselor to the DOT Secretary (1989-91). He served as Vice Chair of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Task Force on Safety Information Protection, and is a frequent lecturer and moderator throughout the industry, including the International Air Transport Association (IATA), McGill Institute of Air and Space Law, and the International Institute of Air and Space Law at Leiden University. He served as Chair of the American Bar Association Forum on Air and Space Law (1994-96), and was Editor-in-Chief of its publication, The Air & Space Lawyer, for 13 years. Mr. Quinn holds a J.D. (with Honors) from DePaul University College of Law (1985), and a B.S. in Finance from Northern Illinois University (1982).
